Richard took over the practice in February 2024 after the retirement of Alan Irvine. Richard graduated from Queens University in 2015 and has completed further qualifications in restorative dentistry. In 2023, he completed his postgraduate diploma in implant prosthodontics in London.
Richard is skilled in general dentistry, complex restorative work, and implant and cosmetic dentistry, providing comprehensive care for his patients. Richard enjoys restoring broken-down teeth and replacing missing teeth to give a functional bite and confident smile. His relaxed and gentle manner ensures patients are put at ease.
Richard likes to keep up to date with the latest innovations in dentistry. He introduced an intraoral scanner to the practice, reducing the need to take moulds of the mouth and allowing precise treatment planning and perfectly fitting restorations. He regularly attends courses to keep at the cutting edge of dentistry and has travelled as far as Korea and New Zealand to further his studies.
Outside of dentistry, Richard enjoys spending time with his young family. He has a passion for travelling and exploring new cultures and has been learning Mandarin Chinese over the past few years.
